Westmoreland changes wellhead regulations to ease building
For a long time, a segment of Westmoreland County’s zoning ordinances made it challenging to build on small lots while trying to access well water. Last month’s meeting of the Board of Supervisors saw the matter dealt with via unanimous decision after a presentation by Kelly De Jesus, the assistant planning director from the Land Use Administration.

Binder-inspired Ingredient Disclosure Bill halted in the House
“Imagine this: you’re prescribed a life saving medication but hidden within its formula is an ingredient that could trigger a severe allergic reaction or, worse, exacerbate a chronic condition like Celiac disease. The RHS Girls Basketball team won their Class 1 Region A Semifinal Round over Middlesex. That win not only qualified the team for the Region Championship game but it also earned them a spot in the Class 1 VHSL State Tournament.

Residents of Richmond County will now have two opportunities each year to dispose of household hazardous waste, as county officials move forward with a newly added spring collection event.

The jury trial for a Lancaster County man charged in a double fatal crash on the Norris Bridge has been pushed to June.
