Stratford Hall President gives update on Virginia Resolved

As the year continues and tourism season looms large, places across the Northern Neck are working to tie their events to the nation’s 250th birthday. Unsurprisingly, Stratford Hall is one of them, particularly when it comes to their Virginia Resolved event, which is slated to take place on the 6th and 7th of June.

Westmoreland BOS discuss event venue amendments

Local events, when well attended, can be a tremendous source of revenue for the hosts. Last week, the Westmoreland County Board of Supervisors took a look at a number of proposed zoning text amendments to define parameters and regulations for smaller events and the venues involved.

Plan to transform Washington & Lee into community center moves forward

The old Washington & Lee High School building may no longer serve as a place of education, but it’s quite clear that many in Westmoreland have no intention of letting it slowly fall apart. The building has been put to good use several times in recent years, including as a venue for the Westmoreland Chapter of the Northern Neck Boys & Girls Club and as a dance studio by Hearts In Motion.
