Update provided on Westmoreland’s ParentSquare Communications
At last week’s Westmoreland County School Board meeting, Christopher Evans, the division’s director of technology, provided an update on ParentSquare, which he described as “a onestop shop for our parents, students, and staff for division public communications, staff-level communications, individual teachers, coaches, etc.”

St. Margaret’s finds new life
It wasn’t too long ago that St. Margaret’s School—an institution that had been part of Tappahannock’s history for more than a century— was shut down against the wishes of both local residents and its governing board by the Church Schools in the Diocese of Virginia (CSDV). The school’s final attempt to remain open, a lawsuit filed earlier this year, was dismissed in April, clearing the way for the closure.
