Water is becoming more costly in the Northern Neck. Last month, both Montross and Colonial Beach town councils decided to raise their water rates.

At the Westmoreland Rehab Center in Colonial Beach, a 76-year-old Army veteran decided to stave off boredom with a productive pursuit— growing a garden.
Celebration & fireworks coming in June
The Northern Neck has many links to the historic origins of the country. In honor of the nation’s 250 anniversary, Stratford Hall will be hosting a major event on the 6th and 7th of June–Virginia Resolved–celebrating a precursor to the Declaration of Independence.
