Colonial Beach has been a tourism- heavy town since its inception in the late 1800s. That much goes without saying. The spirit of the resort town has remained strong over the years, and residents are looking for ways to bring more and more tourists in, particularly to the beach and the downtown area.

Westmoreland Schools receive donation from Chesapeake Chorale
Last week, Westmoreland County Public Schools was expecting a visitor who, unfortunately, had other places to be. Although scheduling conflicts kept Dr. Cheryl Davis from attending the School Board meeting, she still found time to speak with Superintendent Kathy Rice, introduce her to the Chesapeake Chorale, and provide donations to the schools.
