Frances “Fran” Welch-Vaughn, 48, of Lawton, OK unexpectedly passed away on January 10, 2023. She was born and raised in Virginia growing up in Colonial Beach. She lived in multiple states but spent the majority of her adult life in Oklahoma.
She is survived by her children, Joshua Balderson (Stacy), Logan Welch (Ashley), Christian Welch, Desirea Vaughn, Aaron Crisel (Amira), 9 grandchildren including Jonathan, Landon, Jada, David, Remy, Gavin, Grayson, Brayden, and Mara Jade, her parents Luther Edward Bowen, Jr. (Tonya) and Frances Bowen-Crawford, her sister Katie Collins (Patrick), many aunts, uncles, and cousins, as well as her partner Anthony Crisel.
She loved her family and enjoyed crocheting. Her children were all reflections of her in some light and her true spirit lives on through them. They will never forget the time they spent with her.
A funeral service will take place on February 5th at 2 p.m. at Pope’s Creek Baptist Church, Montross, VA. Family and friends will be received immediately following the service at Colonial Beach Volunteer Fire Department. Burial will be held privately at a later date.
