While the Coronavirus  continues to spread, blood drives are being canceled causing a desperate need for donors. “We are in a severe need for blood due to the Coronavirus causing countless blood drive cancellations,” said Kaleigh Leal Account Representative for the Mid-Atlantic Blood Services Region. “We hosted a blood drive at Warsaw Baptist last week and received such an amazing turn out, we are going to host a second drive this week. This has been an amazing feat of the community and we are so excited to see how many more life saving units of blood we can collect.”

Due to the success of last week’s blood drive, there will be another drive coming to Warsaw.

The Coronavirus outbreak has caused unprecedented amounts of cancelled blood drives. This has made it extremely difficult for the American Red Cross to meet the needs of the Richmond area hospitals. If you are healthy and feeling well, please make an appointment to donate by calling 1-800-REDCROSS or visiting www.redcrossblood.org.
