At 1:16 p.m. on Saturday, April 24, Virginia State Police responded to a crash on Route 3 (Historyland Highway) approximately 150 Feet east of Route 611 (Conley Pond Road.)
The preliminary investigation reveals that a red Subaru WRX was traveling east on Route 3. The Subaru crossed the centerline into the westbound lane and struck a westbound black GMC 3500 pickup.
A 58-year-old male, of Farnham, was driving the GMC. A 58-year-old female, of Midlothian was the front seat passenger. A two year old was in the back seat. The adults were both wearing seatbelts, and the two year old was in a car seat. All three were transported for treatment of life-threatening injuries.
Andrew M. Cogar, 32, of Farnham, was the driver and sole occupant of the Subaru. He succumbed to his injuries on the scene.
This investigation is ongoing.
