Two years, to the day, since fire destroyed its clubhouse on Main Street in Kilmarnock, the Boys & Girls Club of the Northern Neck has begun moving into its new building. Over the next few days, staff will continue moving out of their administrative offices at the Medical Arts Building in Lancaster and will begin preparing to welcome club members into their shiny, light-filled spaces in January. “It will take some time to get settled with new furniture in place and all systems up and running perfectly,” says Executive Director Phillip Mumford, “but we are all tremendously excited to be back in our original home and with a state-of-the-art facility that we know will provide a wonderful after-school experience for our kids.”
