When my wife and I moved to Tappahannock forty-three years ago, we settled into this community and began what would be my career as an optometrist. Over the years, our family grew, and our three daughters all attended school here. They grew up in this community, and that was a great joy for us. I have also been blessed with excellent employees who helped to carry out our mission of caring eyecare. As I look back on these forty three years in practice, I am so grateful for the opportunity I had to serve you, my patients; to get to know you as I practiced optometry. This has been our home. We’ve shared many joys and some sorrows with you. Throughout all of these years, I have received your trust and loyalty. For that, I thank you all, and wish you the best as I now officially retire from optometry. I will miss talking with all of you and promise that I will remember our conversations.
Sincerely and with gratitude,
William Ryan, O.D.
