The Riverside Walter Reed Hospital team received a special thank you from Bay Aviation out of Topping, Virginia Sunday, May 2, 2020 when two vintage World War 2-era planes performed a tribute flyover in honor of the health care workers standing on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic. The flyover was led by Michael Kuhnert of Bay Aviation who flew a 1943 Coast Guard Fairchild J2-K2 plane, the only one of its kind left in operation.

Mo Meeker flew a 1943 Fairchild PT-19 that was used for training during World War 2 by the U.S. Army Air Corps.
