The Friends of Westmoreland State Park are bringing live music back to the park! Music on the Cliffs features local musicians and wine by the glass available for purchase from General’s Ridge Vineyard.
The recurring event takes place from 6 to 8 p.m. the third Saturday of July, August and September. July’s featured artist is Faron Hamblin, a country musician from the region who also plays with Honky Tonk Heroes throughout Virginia and surrounding states.
Concerts are held in the large, open field behind the park’s visitor center. Guests are encouraged to bring their own blankets and chairs. There is plenty of room for everyone to maintain social distance.
Outside alcohol is not permitted. Events are weather dependent.
The Aug. 15 concert will feature Stumble Foot. The Sept. 19 concert will feature Hard to Tell.
Face coverings are required in all park facilities and where social distancing is not possible. Anyone who is sick or has symptoms consistent with COVID-19 should stay home.
