Bay Aging, your area agency on aging, has announced it joined the CV19 Educate America Campaign to help residents of the Middle Peninsula and Northern Neck in their fight against COVID-19.

CV19 CheckUp is an online system that evaluates an individual’s risk levels associated with COVID-19 and provides recommendations and resources to reduce those risks. “CV19 is designed to help Americans be safer, healthier and ensure their individual needs are met during the pandemic. CV19 CheckUp fills a critical need for our community,” said Kathy Vesley, Bay Aging President/CEO. “It offers our community a comprehensive resource that educates, informs and advises them, one-by-one, about how to help protect themselves from COVID-19.”

CV19 CheckUp asks people to complete an easy, quick, confidential questionnaire. From their responses, a personalized report is immediately provided, outlining the level of risk and offering recommendations and resources to reduce those risks. The report answers questions such as: How likely am I to get COVID-19 or spread it to others? If I get COVID-19, how severe would it likely be? What steps can I take to reduce my risks of getting COVID-19?

The online tool employs artificial intelligence and data from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO). The CV19 CheckUp tool makes it easy for anyone to understand their level of risk, steps to take to reduce those risks, and provide much-needed support to the thousands of Middle Peninsula and Northern Neck residents who are age 50 and older – the hardest hit by COVID-19.

Bay Aging is excited to partner with CV19 CheckUp and help spread the word about this powerful tool. Go ahead, take it yourself:  www.CV19CheckUp.org
