Montross Middle School students are hosting a First STEM Night on Thursday, March 5, 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.. Families are invited to come and take part in a number of fun activities set up in four different stations. The science and math departments have designed an evening of skills and enjoyment for every age.
Among the favorites that will be displayed are the infamous Eagle Egg Drop station, the Robot parade, and the tantalizing skill game called
“Save Fred.” All of these are designed to highlight the STEM activities that students partake in and to showcase those talents to families.
The Montross Middle School’s National Junior Honor Society will hosting a concession stand. Other students will selling “STEM” gifts and plants that were grown in the MMS greenhouse. All proceeds will be applied to the MMS Outdoor Garden project fund.
The event will begin promptly at 5:00 pm. Bring your family and friends to enjoy a brief interlude of fun and games and try your skills at “saving Fred.”
