On November 10, Superintendent of Northumberland County Public Schools, Dr. Holly Wargo took to Facebook to announce that a staff member had tested positive for COVID-19. Since then, two more staff members have tested positive, resulting in the cancellation of in-person learning from November 16-24. During this time, students who were attending school in person will learn virtually.

“The safety of our students and employees remains the school division’s first priority,” said Dr. Wargo. “NCPS will continue to utilize CDC recommendations to reduce viral transmission and keep our children and school personnel healthy and safe.”
