On April 1, the Boys & Girls Club of the Northern Neck celebrated the opening of the new Northumberland Unit with a cookout and ribbon-cutting ceremony. Many club members, BGCNN staff and community leaders were in attendance, reported BGCNN marketing assistant Justin Parks.
“We wanted to make the opening of the Northumberland site official for both our club members and the broader Northumberland community,” said Parks. “It’s wonderful to be able to bring such a dynamic group of individuals together in support of our club and its members.”
The Northumberland Unit, at 740 Jessie DuPont Memorial Highway, Burgess, serves roughly 40 members ages 6-18 and is accepting new memberships for after school and summer camp programs.
