Chesapeake Academy is pleased to announce that Ms. Kelly W. Antonio has accepted a position as the Director of Admission. Antonio, who joined Chesapeake Academy in instructional support and taught in the school’s lower school for 17 years, is well prepared to highlight the school’s innovative culture and child-centered mission for prospective applicants and their families. Head of School Julianne Duvall explains, “Who better than a teacher to showcase the flexible, cutting edge work our caring and supportive faculty is doing with CA students? I am confident that Kelly will maintain the supportiveness and convenience of the admission process while adding her own special flare.”

Antonio is very excited about this new role! “The Northern Neck has always been special to me. I grew up in Heathsville and after graduating from UMW, getting married, starting a family, and starting my teaching career in Northern Virginia, we decided to return. I’ve spent more than half of my life in the Northern Neck, and I love helping people find resources here so they can enjoy the area as much as we do. That involves helping families find excellent educational options for their families.”
