God saw that Sis. Evelyn Parker was getting tired
and a cure was not to be.
So He put His arms around her and whispered
“well done, come to me.”
A golden heart stopped beating,
a noted weekly columnist’s pen is now at rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us,
He only takes the best.
We the colleagues and friends of Sister Evelyn Parker here at the Northumberland Echo and Northern Neck News want you to know that you all are in our thoughts and prayers. Evelyn kept us informed throughout the penning Richmond County News column for over fifty years. She was special to all who were privileged and blessed to meet her. To Sister Rosalyn and Family….Stay encouraged. God will grant you all strength and support in this time of sadness. Sometimes your days may get dreary. Call on God. He will see you through these sad times.
