The Sixth Annual Colonial Beach BikeFest runs Thursday to Sunday in downtown Colonial Beach. Started by a group of local friends the four day event draws up to 30,000 bikers over the long weekend.

Headlining the event this year are nationally known artists, Fuel, Puddle of Mudd and LongReef on the Main Stage. Local bands from Vivid Vertigo to Brian and Sally and Flippin’ Eyelids will take the stage as well.

Starting this year, there is a fee for all concerts on the main stage. The fee covers all concerts throughout the weekend.

There are a number of other events from the Veterans’ Appreciation Ride to the Bike Show at the American Legion.

The town hill will also be filled with vendors featuring leather goods to T-shirts. Everything from biker leathers to patches to food will be available for purchase. Vending areas are all open to the public.

Starting on Thursday, parking will be limited along the main drags to motorcycles. Other parking lots will be open throughout town.

With the weather currently looking to be in the 70s during the day and 60s at night, the town should be packed for the main concert events. Music begins at noon on the main stage with local favorites Brian and Sally, LongReef and then and 4 p.m. the final headliner Puddle of Mudd. Vendors will be open at  10 a.m. everyday.
