PUBLIC NOTICE
The Westmoreland County Planning
Commission will hold a public hearing on
Wednesday, July 6, 2022 in the public meeting room at the front entrance of the George
D. English, Sr. Memorial Building, 111 Polk
Street, Montross, Virginia starting at 1:30
p.m. Also, the Westmoreland County Board
of Supervisors will hold a public meeting on
Monday, July 11, 2022 in the George D. English, Sr. Memorial Building, 111 Polk Street,
Montross, Virginia starting at 6:00 p.m. The
following matters will be considered:
Commission Permit (2232 Review) & Resolution of Support - Request to the Commonwealth Transportation Board for funding
of intersection improvements at the southern
intersection of Route 205 (James Monroe
Highway) and Route 638 (Ferry Landing).
The request is for the addition of right and
left turn lanes for traffic turning onto Route
638. The intersection is located 0.4 miles
north of Oak Grove in Washington Magisterial District.
Commission Permit (2232 Review) &
Resolution of Support - Request to the
Commonwealth Transportation Board for
funding of intersection improvements at the
intersection of Route 3 (Kings Highway) and
Route 664 (Bowie Road). The request is for
the expansion of the right turn lane for traffic
turning onto Route 664, as well as access
management of the neighboring driveway
entrances. Washington Magisterial District.
Commission Permit (2232 Review) & Resolution of Support - Request to the Commonwealth Transportation Board for funding
of intersection improvements at the intersection of Route 202 (Cople Highway) and
Route 203 (Kinsale Road). The request is
for the addition of a right turn lane for traffic turning onto Route 203 towards Kinsale,
as well as access management of the neighboring driveway entrance. Cople Magisterial
District.
Commission Permit (2232 Review) & Resolution of Support - Request to the Commonwealth Transportation Board for funding
of shoulder improvements along Route 202
(Cople Highway) between Route 203 (Kinsale Road) and the Northumberland County
line/ Yeocomico Bridge. The request is for
the widening of the shoulder along the roadway for approximately 0.72 miles. Cople
Magisterial District.
