NOTICE OF
PUBLIC HEARING
Notice is hereby given pursuant to Chapter 11, 15.22204 of the Code of Virginia as amended, and the Northumberland County Emergency Ordinance addressing
Continuity of Operations during the Coronavirus (Covid-19) Pandemic, that the Northumberland County
Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing on
February 10, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. in the Northumberland
County Courts Building at 220 Judicial Place adjacent to
the Sheriff’s Office in Heathsville, VA in order to consider
public comment on the following:
•

An amendment to the Northumberland County
Code Chapter 132 Article XIII, new sections beginning with 132-54; Due dates for real estate,
personal property taxes, machinery and tools,
and merchants capital, changing the due date
from December 5 to November 5 annually as
permitted by the Code of Virginia §58.1-3916.

All written comments should be received by the County
Administrator’s Office prior to the meeting. For further
